And every so often, we like to shout out those Instagrammers we particularly like. Here, we give you Jourdan Dunn, who’s not just a world-famous first-class model, but a killer chef. Don’t believe us? Check out her food web series How It’s Dunn.

How are you feeling today? Great, just landed in NYC. It’s the perfect Autumn day.

The last meal you ate? Steak & eggs this morning
Favorite cuisine to cook? (Since you’re like, a master chef) Grilled jerk sea bass with mango and sweet corn salsa. My son loves it so I love cooking it for us.
Why’d you start your cooking show? It started as a way for me to connect to my fans and introduce a side of myself that people didn’t know. I feel most comfortable in the kitchen. It is therapeutic and where I am most at ease. PLUS I LOVE food and cooking is my most favorite past time.
Where do you go to get away? I have been to Dubai a few times on vacation with the family. I have not yet discovered by perfect “get away” destination.

What’s your mantra (If you don’t have one, make one up. We’ll wait.): Fear is not an option.
Where would you like to go that you’ve never been? Fortunately my job allows me to travel all over. I just check Thailand off the list. There are still parts of the country I want to explore.

Jourdan Dunn Channelled “Music Video Vixens” From The ’90s To Co-Host The 2021 Rated Awards

Supermodel Jourdan Dunn hosted the 2021 Rated Awards, which celebrate the best in Black British music, and gave British Vogue a sneak peek at her pre-ceremony glam. READ LESS
“I jumped at the chance to host the GRM Daily Rated Awards. Supporting UK talent is really close to my heart, and being part of a show that does just that was a no-brainer,” says supermodel Jourdan Dunn.
Since 2009, GRM Daily has shone a spotlight on the UK music scene, boosting the visibility of up and coming talent, and helping to establish the names that dominate the nation’s grime and rap scene today. Figures like Stormzy, who described the brand as the “holy grail for Black British music”. Having started life as a YouTube page that hosted music video premieres and artist interviews, its evolution to incorporate immediately recognisable formats – like the Daily Duppy freestyle – has seen its following explode to more than 4.5 million. Add that to its 2.2 million-strong Instagram following, and GRM Daily has become one of the biggest music platforms in the country.

An annual awards ceremony was a natural next step, founder Koby “Post” Hagan tells British Vogue. “We decided to have an annual event to celebrate artists we work with week in, week out,” he said, adding that the platform and its associated awards are “where the very best of the scene is acknowledged, allowing the audience to discover new artists coming out of our own soil”.
Despite her global profile, Dunn, who co-hosted with leading comedian Michael Dapaah, confessed to experiencing some pre-ceremony jitters. “Not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous as it was my first time co-hosting a show – but Michael was great! He kept me at ease with his banter and loved being part of it.”
The supermodel pulled out all the stops for the night with three different outfits. The first, a Rick Owens dress, “was all about the high slits, the detailing of the pockets and the way the dress bunches up”, says her stylist Shaquille Ross-Williams. “It was the perfect look to go with one of my favourite jewellery brands at the moment, Vanleles Diamonds. The black and white diamonds tied in so well with the dress.”

For Dunn’s two further looks, Ross-Williams turned to music history for inspiration. She channelled “video vixens from the early ’90s and early 2000s” in a backless, low-rise rope tank dress by Martinique-born designer Gregory Assad, before closing the show in a beaded Julien Macdonald crochet knit bodysuit, embellished with feathers on the sleeves. “I chose this look as it gave me a spin on Cher’s iconic bodysuit from 1989,” the stylist said.
Below, Jourdan’s diary of her pre-ceremony prep – and finished looks.
